An international design competition is underway on the major Kruunusillat bridges, a proposed bridge connection between the future Kruunuvuorenranta suburb and the inner city. The public will have an opportunity to examine the designs at the Laituri gallery from 20 February to 9 March and make comments, which will be reviewed by the competition’s jury.

The City of Helsinki has won the court case at the Market Court. 
According to the Market Court the whole process had been carried out right. No further appeal has been made to the Supreme Court. Selected teams have been informed. The competition will be launched in the autumn.

The Kruunusillat bridge design contest attracted about 50 entries by the deadline. The jury will convene in September to select the contestants. The actual competition starts on September 19, and the selected participants will be notified prior to that date.
